It was also cool to see the old basement room where we hung out as kids with our cousins for a few glorious days, sucking up hours and hours of I Dream of Genie,
Bewitched, Batman and all of the American TV classics we'd never had a chance to see because we were being deprived of all culture by growing up in Tirrenia, Italy. Bernie and Eve treated us to an awesome dinner of pasta, incredible bread, calamari, giant salads -- the food just wouldn't stop coming.
Here's a photo of the clan:

We're in an EconoLodge now somewhere in Connecticut, a few hours south of the Foxwoods Casino. ... more to come ...
that's great, and great picture, so glad you got to spend time with them. Are they going to check your blog? just in case, hi Bernie et al.
ReplyDeleteGood post baby. I thought it was a very nice afternoon and a great dinner with your family. Good people.
ReplyDeleteHey, M&M. I thought you guys were supposed to be playing cards? Looks like one a giant banquet, one i'd love to partake of. Calamari? Ziti? Bread? Dogs? Bring it on.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me share the fun vicariously! xo

P.S. If you're planning on doing much more camping, send me the dimensions of the E2's hatchback, and i'll whip up a bug net you can velcro to the back for some open air sleeping.
Love seeing the two sides of the M&M clan. Did you note how the two aunts looked like they could be related? Odd how with your relatives it is pasta all the way, I guess that is what happens when your names end in a vowel.
ReplyDeleteOne year when I went home I had a different kind of bean every night. First night red, second night pinto, third night lima, fourth night black eyed peas. Each relative thought she was making me something special. Funny?
Oh my god, what a genius idea the velcro bug net is! I wish I had thought of it before we left!!!!
ReplyDeletenow that's brilliant, a velco bug net, what a friend
ReplyDeleteI love that Tirrenia link.
