The most compelling thing I have to bring to this morning's news meeting is the first-person story our friend Kim Christensen wrote about being the victim of a serial check-forger. Michelle and Kim worked together at the OC Register, and then he was at The Oregonian for a while before moving to the LA Times a couple of years ago. He's a great guy and an excellent reporter, and you can really feel the frustration of identity theft in this story.
As Kim says, I hope he and his wife Chris are enjoying their expensive vacation someplace they're not aware of.
