It's a beautiful day here today -- no crazy wildfires, no significant wind events -- so I decided to take my lazy ass outside and go for a short, one-mile run around the neighborhood.
This was my first exercise in about three weeks, since before our trip to LA and a couple weeks of heavily medicined sickliness. I felt terrible. Winded, with that itchy skin thing all over from being out of shape. But on the other hand, the price was right: no electricians or checkbooks were required.
Maybe next week I'll try again.

If you tire of running, get a bike. I've been doing it for about a year. Less stress than running but you still have the outdoor thing going. only one check is necessary unless you become a dreaded gearhead...
