I attempted Ronelle and Aunt Chickie's famous ziti recipe tonight. Theirs is brilliant, mine was OK -- somewhere between my inedible pancakes and my heavenly mince pie or standard Mama Matassa spaghetti sauce.
The taste tonight was great, but I need to work a bit on technique and presentation. We need a better baking dish, for one, and I think I needed a little more sauce.
Next time, when it looks better, I'll take a picture and, with Ronelle's permission, post the recipe too.
Thanks Ronelle!

Maybe you could just e-mail me the recipe on the side?? You know, keepin' it in the family and all...
I had no idea that this recipe was famous. If I had known there would have been a price to pay for it. Since it has already been compromised, you have my permission to post it online.
Michele - since I don't have your e-mail address you will have to rely on Mark's good will. Just a word of advice, if I were you I would forget the recipe and push for an invite to sample his. Seems like a much better way to go to me.
Ronelle, I like your idea that Mark might cook for me. It'd be the first time in, oh, about 15 years. But you never know... Maybe he'd do it if you make a trip out here!
And if you ever want to reach me by e-mail, for a recipe exchange or for any other reason: mmflores@seattletimes.com or michelemf@comcast.net.
wee! post it, post it!
Proud of you Mark! You are becoming quite the chef. I devoured the rest of your mince pie. Heavenly is what it was.
I remember Aunt Chickie's mouth-watering baked ziti. Coincidentally, I had planned on trying it on Mich and Manuel the night before Thanksgiving, until Manuel tempted me with a wonderful barbequed steak dinner. Now that the famous recipe is in our possession I'm sure it will turn out better that my vague recollection of it. Thanks, Ronelle.
Mich, you're some kind of mad genius -- dealing me a little smack for the lack of a dinner invite while simultaneously goosing Ronelle to come visit. I stand in awe of your powers.
Good idea, too. If Ronelle comes out, I'll cook for everyone. Even you, Mich.
The bad news: We're having pancakes!
I LOVE pancakes...and I might just be an offer that is too good to refuse!Hmmm...
Mich is an evil genius. I stand in awe of her powers.
