CNN: "Sen. Hillary Clinton stepped into the ring Thursday in this city known for prize fights, successfully beating back an onslaught of punches thrown from the left and right as her opponents sought to rattle ..." blah blah blah.
Man, does anybody really think anybody talks like this?
I give the debates a C-. Why did I come away feeling like I agreed with Kucinich and Biden more than anybody who has a chance of even coming close? And everybody was all Blah blah blah. I get that. You can't give a real answer because people would take it wrong. Better to hem and haw. Hemmers and hawers tend to get elected more than the weirdos who answer questions.
What grade do you give to the debates?

CNN gets an F from me. They have given up even the charade of being journalists -- they think they are part of The Greatest Show on Earth. Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper should have been in tights. The genius producer who put out the memo that all coverage must include bad prizefighting metaphors -- and every segment of coverage has at least one -- should be put on the George Forman grill.
An unbelievably large percentage of the questions were about or designed to spur meaningless candidate catfights. Worthless.
Anyway, yeah, you gotta love Biden -- he's from another Tip Oneil-y era.
Re: Hemmers and Hawers: Funny. Sad. True.
Good post, baby. I agree.
And I agree with you, Kaye, about CNN. What is the point of giving "real people" a chance to ask questions if they get instantly hijacked and re-framed by the sideline girl Campbell Brown as a lame, typical hot-button softball?
Totally annoying.
also, these vegetarian mushroom "burgers" are really awful
duh.
I think you still have some vegetarian hot dogs in the fridge ...
phooey .. vegetables should not pretend to be meat. It's just not right.
actually, I think that's ptooey, not phooey ...
Hey, with the writers' strike, it's time for this crowd to take over!
There will never be hootier laughs than those coming from M&M blog.
Hah -- but Rita, that would make us scabs! Laugh scabs!
There you are.....what's more hilarious than a laugh scab?
I just watched Kucinish in an interview, and I agree with you Michelle, I really like him, and agree with what he says, I may vote for him.
